Key Responsibilities:

 

A Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll processes of an organization. Their job duties typically include:

  • Managing and processing the organization's payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate records of employee data, including salary, benefits, and taxes.
  • Calculating and processing employee deductions, such as taxes, social security, bonuses, Commissions, Overtime pay, and other benefits.
  • Liaising with the HR department to ensure that all new hires and employee changes are properly processed in the payroll system.
  • Generating and distributing payroll reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to payroll, including tax laws, labour laws, and employment standards.
  • Resolving any payroll-related issues or discrepancies and responding to employee inquiries related to pay.

To be successful in this role, a Payroll Executive must: –

  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills, problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail as well as a solid understanding of payroll regulations and processes.
  • Should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as Payroll Executive often interact with employees and other departments within the organization or with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Should also be proficient in using payroll software and have a good understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • A degree in accounting or a HR related field, along with experience of 2-3 years in payroll administration, is typically required for this position.
