Position Overview:
CIEL HR Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Payroll Executive to manage the end-to-end payroll process for our internal staff and the consultants we deploy at client locations. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy, compliance with all statutory regulations, and the timely disbursement of salaries. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, a deep understanding of Indian labor laws, and experience with payroll software in a consultancy/staffing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle, including collecting inputs (attendance, leave, overtime, bonuses, reimbursements), calculating wages, and processing accurate and timely salary disbursements.
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure strict compliance with all central and state government regulations, including the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) Act, the Employees' State Insurance (ESI) Act, Professional Tax (PT), and Income Tax (TDS) provisions.
- Prepare and file all related statutory reports and tax documents (e.g., Form 16s, quarterly/annual TDS returns).
Data Management & Auditing:
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system. Conduct regular payroll audits to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Coordinate closely with the HR and Finance departments to exchange relevant payroll information, reconcile payroll data with financial records, and provide accurate payroll reports/MIS dashboards to management.
Employee Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for employees' payroll-related inquiries, concerns, and discrepancies, ensuring high levels of customer service and support.
Process Improvement:
Recommend and implement enhancements to payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an HR payroll processing or similar accounting role. Experience in a consultancy or staffing firm setting is a significant advantage.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in payroll software/system
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll processes, labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
