Job Description

As a Deputy Manager in Packaging Design, Development, and Project Management, your role will involve designing and developing safe, sturdy, and cost-effective packaging for automobile components and consumables. You will utilize IT-enabled solutions such as UG-NX, Auto-CAD, etc. to meet business requirements within specified timelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for facility planning and set-up, including equipment specification, layouts, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Your key responsibilities will include working closely with key functions like Supply chain, KD operations, Quality Assurance, and Logistics to design packaging using structural analysis, test methods, and design simulations. You will also create packaging material drawings, conduct VA-VE processes for cost-saving targets, and ensure compliance with Indian and Global regulatory changes. To succeed in this role, you should possess domain knowledge of packaging design and operation processes, as well as hands-on experience in facility set-up related to packing/unpacking operations. Proficiency in IT software solutions like UG-NX, Auto-CAD, and familiarity with various packaging materials are essential. You will be required to communicate effectively with suppliers, monitor development processes, and ensure smooth implementation of ECN/ECR feasibility checks. Your technical competencies should include strategic thinking, strong execution orientation, and problem-solving skills. Behavioral skills such as collaboration, communication, achievement orientation, and teamwork will also be crucial for success in this role. Qualifications required for this position include a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Automobile, along with post-graduation in Packaging Technology on a full-time basis. Additionally, 3.9-6 years of experience in treasury activities and packaging within any industry, preferably in an Auto OEM, are preferred.
