You will be responsible for designing and developing safe, sturdy, and cost-effective packaging solutions for automobile components and consumables. This includes utilizing IT-enables solutions like UG-NX and Auto-CAD to meet business requirements within specified timelines. Additionally, you will be involved in facility planning and set-up by preparing equipment specifications, layouts, and overseeing procurement and installation processes. Collaboration with key functions such as Supply Chain, KD Operations, Quality Assurance, and Logistics will be essential to design packaging through structural analysis, design simulations, and feasibility trials. You will also create packaging material drawings and specifications for new materials and conduct VA-VE processes to achieve cost savings and quality improvements. Furthermore, you will stay updated on packaging requirements for both export and import, ensuring compliance with Indian regulations and UN guidelines. Developing packaging-related SOPs and work instructions will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of technical skills, you should have domain knowledge of packaging design and operations, the ability to evaluate technical and commercial requirements, and hands-on experience in facility set-up related to packing operations. Proficiency in software tools like UG-NX, Auto-CAD, and Factory-CAD is required, along with knowledge of various packaging materials and containers. Your competencies should include strategic thinking, strong execution orientation, problem-solving skills, and experience in tendering processes and design approvals with suppliers. Behavioral traits such as excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, achievement orientation, and networking abilities are also crucial for this role.,
