Role ObjectiveHandling the Surgery clients, collaboration with Senior Operations Manager onshore, quality & training team, budget file work around with finance team, proactive approach to handle quality escalations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team SupervisionManage and supervise Associate Operation Managers and a team of medical coders, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure accurate and efficient coding practices. Quality ControlImplement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in coding operations. Client CommunicationMaintain strong communication with clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues related to coding services. Performance EvaluationRegularly assessing the performance of coding staff, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for professional development. Compliance ManagementEnsure all coding activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, minimizing risks associated with non-compliance. Strategic PlanningParticipate in strategic planning to align coding operations with business goals and client expectations. Budget OversightManage operational budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and cost-saving measures are implemented. Technology ImplementationUtilize technology and software tools to enhance coding capabilities and streamline operations. Training CoordinationDevelop and coordinate training programs to keep coding staff informed about updates in coding guidelines and industry practices Interview, hire, train, evaluate and develop subordinates when required. Skill DevelopmentIdentify the skills and competencies required for associate managers and provide training and development opportunities to enhance their capabilities. Goal SettingWork with associate managers to set clear, achievable goals that align with the company's objectives, and provide guidance on how to reach them. Feedback and EvaluationOffer regular, constructive feedback on performance, and conduct evaluations to help associate managers understand their strengths and areas for improvement. CoachingProvide one-on-one coaching to address specific challenges or areas where associate managers need support.Certification & EducationAny certification from AAPC or AHIMA and Any Bachelors degree in education
Skill Set
Extensive domain expertise in comprehensive surgical procedures (beyond just Same-Day Surgery), multi-specialty denial management and Multispecialty E&M.12+ years of Coding experience and 5+ years of experience in Management roleAbility to manage a team of 100+ codersAbility to co-ordinate multiple projects and initiative simultaneouslySelf-driven, Excellent personal and interpersonal skills, active listener, and excellent communication skillsSix Sigma Green or Black belt is an added advantageProficiency in using MS office applicationsFlexible to work from office in Mid shift (1 PM to 10 PM) as required by the business.
