Operations & Execution Lead - Linguistic & Data Annotation Projects

Role Summary

Macgence is seeking an Operations & Execution Lead to own end-to-end execution of linguistic, data annotation, and AI training projects. This role is critical in ensuring on-time delivery, quality adherence, and operational scalability across multilingual annotation programs, HITL workflows, and client-driven AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery:

• Lead end-to-end execution of linguistic, NLP, speech, and data annotation projects
• Convert client requirements and SOWs into clear execution plans, timelines, and capacity models
• Ensure daily/weekly delivery commitments are met across annotation and review pipelines
• Manage multi-stage workflows (annotation → review → QA → client delivery)

Operations Management:

• Own operational KPIs: throughput, accuracy, TAT, utilization, rework, SLA adherence
• Build and optimize scalable annotation and review processes
• Drive productivity improvements while maintaining linguistic and quality standards
• Implement SOPs, guidelines, and quality frameworks

Team & Vendor Management:

• Manage large-scale teams: linguists, annotators, reviewers, QA leads, vendors
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Coordinate with freelance and vendor partners for multilingual capacity
• Ensure reviewer coverage and quality ownership across languages

Quality & Compliance:

• Enforce linguistic quality benchmarks and annotation guidelines
• Resolve quality escalations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with client standards

Stakeholder & Client Coordination:

• Act as the execution owner for internal and client stakeholders
• Provide clear status updates, risk flags, and mitigation plans
• Support client audits, pilot runs, and scale-up phases

Tools & Reporting:

• Track delivery using tools like Jira, ClickUp, Sheets, dashboards
• Build operational reports and forecasts for leadership
• Use data to drive execution decisions and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in linguistic operations, data annotation, or AI data services
• Hands-on experience with NLP, speech, vision, or multilingual annotation workflows
• Proven ability to scale operations under tight timelines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution leadership skills
• Excellent communication with internal teams and global clients

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with HITL workflows
• Exposure to LLM training data, RLHF, ASR, TTS, NER, POS, intent classification
• Experience managing multilingual programs at scale
