The Opportunity
The Operations and Governance Lead will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Non-Profit Advisory team’s operational backbone and governance structures. This role is responsible for ensuring effective business operations (sales to delivery to close out), embedding governance frameworks, managing delivery risk, and enabling efficient delivery across engagements.
- Operations Management
- Oversee daily team operations, ensuring seamless project execution and adherence to internal procedures.
- Optimize delivery capacity through effective resource planning, staffing, and utilization management.
- Collaborate with enablement teams to implement operational processes that enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Project Governance
- Strengthen existing project governance frameworks to continuously track project-level delivery and risks. This will ensure high-quality delivery, drive greater accountability, and build transparency across engagements.
- Work actively with project teams to mitigate risks based on priority and intensity of impact on projects.
- Enhance project leadership on engagements by employing a skill-based approach to capability building.
- Financial Management
- P&L Ownership - Manage the firm's profit and loss, focusing on cost optimization and achieving profitability targets.
- Financial Planning - Create and oversee annual targets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Performance Tracking - Monitor the financial performance of individual engagements to ensure profitability.
- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Partner to establish and implement the team's strategic objectives.
- Offer data-driven insights through dashboards and KPIs to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 12-14 years of work experience, ideally within the consulting or impact sector.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex operations, business development, and stakeholder management.
- Skills:
- Strong business acumen for strategic decision-making.
- Builds relationships and delivers high-quality service.
- Communicates effectively, shows empathy, flexibility, and collaboration.
- Analyzes complex situations and develops innovative strategies.
- Fosters teamwork and delegates effectively.
- Designs and implements innovative strategies.
- Manages strategic partnerships for mutual goals.
