Job Description

Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel to ensure an exceptional guest experience, efficient service delivery, and optimal profitability. This role manages key departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, ensuring all operational functions align with brand standards and company objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, hospitality expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Quality

  • Maintain high standards of guest service by monitoring and improving the quality and efficiency of all operational departments.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with brand service standards and continuously enhance the guest experience.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key areas to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Monitor occupancy levels, room availability, and operational costs to optimize performance.
  • Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing team to maximize room occupancy and revenue.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise department heads and ensure effective team communication and collaboration.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain strong employee engagement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth within the team.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Control operational expenses and ensure cost-effective management of resources.
  • Analyze financial data and performance reports to recommend improvements.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with local laws, health and safety regulations, and brand policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across all areas of the hotel.
  • Oversee property maintenance and coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance operations.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve operational targets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar PMS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Tinsukia, Assam: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
