What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating virtual workshops by overseeing breakout sessions, transitions, and collaborative activities
• Inspiring and engaging students through interactive chats, recognition, and personalized support
• Keeping students focused, self-assured, and connected during their learning journey
• Assisting lead teachers with the logistics that ensure smooth workshop operations
• Building a positive culture and serving as a reliable figure across bilingual tracks and clubs

• Instructing academic subjects or presenting educational content
• Drafting lesson plans or assessing student work
• Developing curriculum or independently conducting workshops
• Being a passive observer—this role demands active involvement and enthusiasm
  

Online Youth Mentor Key Responsibilities

Enhance virtual learning experiences by keeping students engaged, organized, and motivated throughout each workshop.

Basic Requirements

• Available to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
• Educational experience in US, Canadian, or UK schools (K-16) - must have attended school in these regions (current location is flexible)
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with digital tools
• Energetic, student-centric approach with attention to detail and seamless transitions
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Familiarity with online educational platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
• Experience in after-school activities, summer camps, or club management

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
