Job Description

As an Onboarding Manager at Nova Benefits, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire onboarding journey for new clients, starting from the contract signing to the implementation of employee benefits. Your role will involve leading a team of onboarding associates and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding process. You will have the opportunity to shape the initial experience of new clients with Nova Benefits. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the full onboarding process, which encompasses platform setup, insurance activation, communications, and benefit rollout. You will work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Claims, and Tech to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience. Additionally, you will supervise a small team of associates, providing guidance on execution and prioritization. Monitoring key onboarding metrics, SLAs, turnaround times, and feedback for each account will also be part of your role, along with continuously seeking ways to enhance onboarding SOPs and workflows. As the main point of contact for clients during onboarding, you will liaise with HR teams to align onboarding processes with their requirements. You will collaborate with the Customer Success team to develop presentations, emailers, and engagement materials. Conducting orientation sessions for client employees, simplifying complex insurance and wellness concepts, and delivering presentations to large groups, both online and in-person, are crucial aspects of your role. Utilizing data to gain insights into the effectiveness of onboarding processes will be essential. By analyzing adoption metrics, onboarding feedback, SLA performance, and NPS scores, you will identify areas for improvement in future onboarding journeys. It is imperative to secure client sign-off before transitioning accounts to the long-term team. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 3 years of experience in client onboarding, operations, or customer success. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members are essential. Strong communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal, along with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, are key requirements. Proficiency in tools such as Excel/Sheets, Google Slides, Notion, or basic design tools like Canva is preferred. Being comfortable in a fast-paced environment and showing a genuine interest in enhancing the employee benefits experience in India are also important qualities. Desirable qualifications include experience in insurance, wellness, or HR tech, knowledge of employer branding and employee engagement principles, and a creative flair for engagement campaigns.
