Summary of the Role:
To work closely with the OEM, Sales, Technology and Product Management teams in building and driving business via Off highway & Industrial OEMs in IMEA (but initially focused on India). Contribute towards making Lubrizol value proposition more compelling to the OEMs. Working with Head OEM, Conceptualize and deploy the overarching business strategies. Input into the OEM strategy activation plan.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Support | The OEM Business in support of increasing Lubrizol’s share of opportunity; to ensure defending current business positions and growing future business opportunities at OEMs.
Build and Deliver | OEM Group India strategies to support the Lubrizol specific business strategies at the OEMs
External focus | Develop an extensive network of contacts at the selected OEM Accounts across a broad range of disciplines to include the technical in ICE engines and power train technologies.
Internal focus | Grow internal contact networks within Lubrizol Product Management Group (PMG) | Sales | R&D | Leadership Team
Develop | Implement | The plans for OEM Group in India | Use inputs from the OEM management team | PMG | The OEM Council.
Contribute | To the global OEM team | Work closely with other OEM Account Managers | Regionally | Globally as required
Identify | Develop | Opportunities for innovative new technologies that expand Lubrizol’s business portfolio at the OEM Accounts
Understands | the Customer - OEM interactions and ties together our OEM activities to meet customer needs
Market Insights | Provide these to PMG and other Lubrizol functions from the OEM perspective | Help shape these offers to realize more value for Lubrizol and making Lubrizol Compelling to the targeted OEMs.
Participates | in industry organizations and activities to communicate appropriate messaging as an advocate of Lubrizol strategies
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
M Tech in Mechanical / Automobile/ Chemical.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in working with major OEM’s in Development, Engine Testing, ERC, DVP, Prog managers, Service leads. Hands-on experience in Internal Combustion engines (ICE), Powertrain Technologies. Plant Engine team /Plant Vehicle team / QA in Engineering. Off highway, Shop floor.
Ability to listen and identify customers’ needs to translate this to an offering.
Negotiation and communication skills to deal with routine and challenging business situations.
Motivated self-starter who is willing to take initiative.
Self-driven Team player who is also an individual performer.
Education / Certification:
M Tech in Mechanical / Automobile from premier institute or BE/ B Tech with relevant work experience.
Business-related qualifications, such as Management and Business Administration, would be of added advantage but is not critical.
Experience and Skills:
Fluent written and spoken English, working knowledge in Hindi.
Self-starter, self-managed that can influence decisions at various levels of an organization
Exceptional communicator with the ability to simplify complex situations into understandable plans and project updates
Technical competence in relating to manufacturer hardware systems and needs today, and for the future in Internal Combustion engines (ICE); Power train technologies; Industrial applications
A flexible team player that can unite and maximize the collaborative approach to business success with Lubrizol and OEM teams
Commercial acumen across multiple end use areas of the Value Chain
Good presentation skills coupled with an ability to use SharePoint, excel, word and other business management tools
A desire coupled with ability to develop Lubrizol future talent through mentoring and knowledge sharing
