🧠 Backend Developer Internship (Express.js + MySQL) 📍 Location: Remote 📅 Duration: 2 Months 💰 Stipend: ₹3000 - 5000 /month 👥 Positions: 2 🚀 Start Date: Immediate 🕒 Type: Internship 📌 Mode: Part-time / Full-time 🧩 About the Project Join the backend engineering team at UAI to help build a scalable, secure, and production-ready backend system powering real-time authentication, analytics, user risk scoring, and admin dashboard APIs. You’ll work on mission-critical services that are used by multiple applications across the UAI ecosystem. 💼 What You’ll Work On As a Backend Intern, you’ll contribute to: Designing and building robust RESTful APIs using Node.js + Express.js Structuring relational schemas and managing data flow using MySQL Building authentication flows using JWT , role-based access, and session control Writing reusable services for email, SMS, file uploads, and user activity tracking Building internal tools like admin dashboards and user management systems Optimizing database queries and indexing for high-performance APIs Writing well-structured code, error-handling layers, and response formatters Participating in debugging, testing, and performance profiling 🛠️ Tech Stack You’ll Work With Backend: Node.js 20.x, Express.js Database: MySQL (with Sequelize ORM or raw SQL) Auth & Security: JWT, bcrypt, Helmet, CORS, Rate Limiting Utilities: dotenv, Winston, Multer, Day.js Dev Tools: Postman, Docker, ESLint, Nodemon Testing: Thunder Client / Postman / Jest (if needed) ✅ Requirements Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js Familiarity with Express.js routing, middleware, and async handling Experience writing SQL queries or working with relational databases like MySQL Understanding of REST APIs and request-response flow Eagerness to learn clean architecture and write production-grade code Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of tasks Good communication and problem-solving skills 🌟 Bonus Skills (Good to Have) Experience with Sequelize ORM or Prisma Projects involving admin panels or multi-role systems Knowledge of Docker, Git workflows, or database migrations Understanding of database optimization and indexing 🎁 What You’ll Gain End-to-end exposure to scalable backend systems in production Mentorship from experienced backend engineers and access to code reviews Hands-on experience working with real MySQL databases and API development Flexible work culture and collaborative team environment Certificate of Internship & opportunity for long-term role or PPO Show more Show less
