Codes & Standards Ensure all designs comply with international standards and codes such as SBC, SEC, SAF, NFPA, UL, FM and Middel East local authority requirements. Documentation & Submittals Prepare technical documentation including Basis of Design (BoD), design calculations such as Water demand, Pump capacity and pipe sizing, equipment datasheets, system descriptions, and technical reports. Review vendor and subcontractor technical submittals for compliance. Support procurement with technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor coordination. Develop BOQ (Bill of Quantities). Construction & Commissioning Support Provide technical support to site teams during construction, installation, and commissioning. Coordination & Communication Interface with clients, consultants, AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction), and internal stakeholders. Attend design review meetings, HAZOPs, and project kick-off sessions etc. Qualifications & Skills Education Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Technical Skills Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, PIPENET and hydraulic calculation tools. Clean agent system (e.g., Ansul, Kidde, Minimax, UL/FM etc) Familiarity with fire alarm system review of programming and configuration (e.g., Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.) Strong knowledge of fire codes and regulatory requirements. Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Team player with proactive coordination skills. Experience 8–15 years of relevant experience in fire protection system design and engineering, preferably in Water Desalination. ------------ XXX------------
