To check & Inspection & maintenance of specialised fire protection system like Rim Seal Fire Protection system of tanks, Water spray system. Supervise Fire Crew for general administration & Operational duty. Contact management for AMC of Rim seal fire protection system. Upkeep of Full Surface fire- fighting equipment’s. Emergency & Disaster management of the COT area. Conduct Fire Training for Employees and Contract employees for Emergency Mitigation. To ensure the reliability of fire protection systems and respond to Emergency Calls. ORGANISATIONAL CHART ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ACCOUNTABILITIES ACTIVITIES QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Training & Drill Training to Fire operators Training to Employees & Contract Workmen Regular PT & Drill for Fire operators Participate in Training – External / Internal Conduct Target drill / Mock drills Participate in Mock drills as per plan Follow up for observations compliances Preparation of Emergency call Report & Daily activity reports Report through IRIS Through Mail & entry in SAP Managing Shift activity Authority : lead a process of emergency calls and fire protection system To ensure Minimum strength of Fire Turnout Crew To ensure healthiness of Fire protection system Respond to all types of emergency calls. Environment Management System Statutory Compliance:- Ensure compliance towards all environmental legislative requirements. Ensure compliance to company standards laid down if any.. AUTHORITY :- To Reduce Generation of Waste. Ensure Resource conservation Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste generated as per the laid down procedure for waste disposal and handling OHSMS HSEF - Care & Welfare: To achieve a safe and healthy work place. To ensure safe execution of ITPM job as per SOP. Energy Management System EnMS Awareness about Energy policy- 50001:2018 Significant energy uses. KEY CHALLENGES To ensure the Reliability of Fire Protection systems of COT & Respond to Emergencies to mitigate emergencies To ensure Fire Prevention & Fire Protection measures in the Refinery Complex KEY DECISIONS Made by Jobholder: Maintain Healthiness of COT Fire Protection systems Fire Protection systems like MVWS, Foam, Rimseal system dismantling, re-commissioning & testing during Tank M&I. Upkeep & testing of Full surface fire protection system. Store management of Fire Store area. Duty Allotment of Fire Operators in the Shift Attend Emergency fire, leakage, injury and other calls if any Conduct Training, Physical Fitness & Rescue & Emergency Drill to Fire Operators Conduct Fire Safety Training programs to employees & Contract personnel Co-ordination with Operation, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Project Team Recommendations to superior: Training for Fire Officers on Process Safety & QRA Suggest to the departments to carry out corrective & preventive action based on the audit recommendations INTERACTIONS Internal Interactions: Co-ordination with Operation, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Project Team Coordinate with all internal functions to enable effective deployment and development of the Safety management system Coordinate with RSM & Area managers for Fire standby & during Shutdown External Interactions: With Insurance team With External Statutory Auditors DIMENSIONS To execute Projects To manage the Fire team To interact with vendors /contractors Team Size: NIL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Educational Qualifications & Certifications: BE-Fire from NFSC, Nagpur + 5 yrs of experience Or BE-Fire from any other approved institute + 6 yrs of experience Or Grad-I (IFE India or UK) OR BSC Fire with 9 years Post Qualification Experience in Refinery or Equivalent Additional desirable - Post Graduate / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety, Understanding of Management system (QMS, EMS & OHSMS) Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience: BE-Fire from NFSC, Nagpur + 5 yrs of experience Or BE-Fire from any other approved institute + 6 yrs of experience Or Grad-I (IFE India or UK) OR BSC Fire with 9 years Post Qualification Experience in Refinery or Equivalent Additional desirable - Post Graduate / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety, Understanding of Management system (QMS, EMS & OHSMS) Desirable : Valid Heavy Vehicle License Functional Skills: Knowledge of statutory regulations - OISD Standards / Factories Act / Petroleum Rules and NFPA standards. Have adequate Technical knowledge of fire fighting vehicles. Should have a knowledge of Product/Service, quality parameters, environment, Safety and Energy Management. Shall have knowledge of carrying out Rescue from Height, Rescue from Confined space etc. Should have knowledge of Operations & Maintenance of 6000 GPM HVLRM, 12000 GPM HVLRM, Hose recovery unit and other full surface firefighting equipments. Shall have knowledge of SAP PM, MM, SAP codification, Procurement PR etc Shall be able to review drawings and documents of MOC / Project etc. He shall have technical knowledge of operation & maintenance of Rimseal Fire protection systems, MCP, Hydrant & monitors, Foam System, MVWS System etc. He shall coordinate with other dept like Project, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Operation, electrical during Tank M&I and special projects. He shall have effective skill of command & control during emergency. He shall have effective communication skill to deal with fire service related matters. Should have ability to perform maintenance of fire protection systems/ equipment.
