Having good experience in FEED and Detail Engineering. Experience in the design of overhead transmission lines. Experience in the design of generator interconnection to the high-voltage transmission grid, grid code compliance, and coordination with transmission system operators. Experience with insulation coordination studies, grid code compliance, and stability studies Capable to review and develop technical specifications, data sheets, RFQ/RFPs and technical bid evaluation of electrical equipment and materials, mainly related with HV systems for power plant projects (transformers, AIS, GIS, switchgears, cables). Strong skills in single line drawings, schematics and control & protection systems. Good knowledge of International Codes & Standards like IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, IP. Capable to provide support on technical aspects for the proper development of complex Power Plant projects. Experience in PMT/PMC is desirable RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for the design of main electrical equipment and materials. • Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets • Prepare electrical equipment and material sizing calculations. • Prepare control and protection schematics and SLDs • Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of HV Electrical Equipment • Desing and review of OHLs • Review generation/grid interconnections • Power system studies • Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for HV Electrical Equipment • Interact and collaborate with rest of technical disciplines involved • Ability to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required • Demostrate awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issued • Manage engineering vendors data • Report engineering status and progress TECHNICAL SKILLS • 15 years or more experience working in the electrical discipline in a engineering company • Designing for HV electrical equipment and materials • Power system studies • Effective communication skills • Understanding of other disciplines • Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements • Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel • Self-motivated and quick learner • Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. • Experience as electrical site engineer.
