Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 support for network-related issues.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to LAN, WAN, firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Assist in configuration, patching, and upgrades of network devices.
  • Escalate issues to senior engineers or vendors when required.
  • Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar).
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
