Description
Responsibilities: Design, configure, and implement secure network solutions based on business requirements. Install, support, and maintain hardware and software for LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet systems. Monitor network performance and optimize the environment to maintain high availability and reliability. Perform regular network performance testing, tuning, and troubleshooting. Configure and support firewall, switches, and routers (Cisco, Juniper, etc.). Manage IP addressing, subnetting, and VLAN configurations. Implement network security protocols and participate in network-related audits. Provide technical support and guidance to users and teams. Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. Maintain up-to-date network diagrams and documentation. Evaluate new technologies and tools for potential adoption. Key Technical Skills:Core Networking: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP LAN/WAN technologies Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) Switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel) Wireless technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) Hardware & Devices: Cisco routers, switches, firewalls Juniper, HP, or other enterprise networking devices Wireless Access Points and Controllers Security & Firewalls: Firewall configuration (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto) VPN configuration (IPSec, SSL VPN) Network Access Control (NAC), 802.1X Tools & Monitoring: Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix Network troubleshooting and packet analysis SNMP-based monitoring Operating Systems & Scripting: Windows Server, Linux administration Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Cloud & Virtual Networking (Bonus): AWS/Azure network configuration (VPC, NSG, VPN Gateway) SD-WAN technologies VMware NSX or other virtual networking platforms Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in a network engineering role. Relevant certifications preferred: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Professional (CCNP) CompTIA Network+ Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA) Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation ability Ability to work independently or in a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 01/07/2025
