Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Troubleshoot and maintain network devices and solutions such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Manage and deploy active and passive network infrastructure.
• Work with advanced technologies like Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Meraki solutions (preferred).
• Utilize programming and scripting (e.g., Python, APIs) for automation (advantageous).
• Liaise with vendors, IT teams, and project managers for deployment and project documentation.
• Attend client meetings and provide support for network deployment while ensuring compliance.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and SLA measurements using network services dashboards and flow analyzer tools.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting data center switches (e.g., Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, 6500, 4500, 3750, 3560).
• Expertise in Cisco ASA, IPsec site-to-site remote VPNs, and troubleshooting F5 LTM/GTM.
• Proficiency in wireless infrastructure and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and ITIL processes.
• Familiarity with OSI Model, TCP/IP, ICPM, TCP, UDP, and network diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute).
• Ability to perform upgrades on Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and WLCs.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNA

  (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)

• CCNP

  (Routing and Switching Certification)
