Role- Network Engineer L3

The Role We are looking for a Network Engineer, experienced in Service Desk and Projects, to join our networking team. The role involves a combination of 2nd and 3rd level support, maintenance and project work.

Duties for this role include:

• Technical implementation & maintenance of new & existing customers systems.

• Provide 3rd level escalation for Service Desk

• Perform the role of client technical SME during any priority incident within your technical domain

• Manage to resolution all assigned incidents, requests, events and changes

• Managing the day-to-day ICT environment Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced, broadly skilled Network Engineer, coming from a system integrator/managed services provider background, with sound commercial and technical skills.

Key skills and experience include:

• Layer 2 switching technologies including - Spanning Tree, VLANs, Discovery protocols (CDP, LLDP)

• Layer 3 routing technologies including - Routing protocols, ACL's, NAT & PAT, Policy-based routing, L3 QoS and Netflow

• Firewall configuration to best practice requirements - Security & NAT rule configuration, VPN's DPI, Intrusion detection & prevention,

• Wireless technologies & concepts - Common protocols, Site survey & deployment best practices

• Solid and demonstrable knowledge of networking & security fundamentals - OSI Model, common protocols and ports, Layer 1 technologies & hardware

• Strong SD-WAN exposure (Cato and Velocloud highly desirable)

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues to critical timelines.

• Cisco umbrella capabilities are essential

• CCNP qualifications or equivalent experience is required

• Practical understanding of ITIL framework

• Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls experience are highly desirable

• Juniper Switches and Router experience are highly desirable.

• Cato experience are highly desirable

• Mist wireless proficiency is greatly valued
