Organization Structure The Industrial Quality Engineer will report hierarchically to Process Industrial Quality Manager Mission & Responsibility To ensure the Quality of produced products you will encourage, promote and facilitate the properly criteria to Productionand performs inspections ofsubassemblies or finished ALSTOM products according to well definedcriteria using standardphysical, mechanical and/ or electricalmeasurements. Contributes into site improvement actions and programsrelatedto the IQ scope. Support new product launches to ensure that supplier qualitymeets the required standards - Perform on-site root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of quality issues - Collate and evaluate quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the Alstom factory - Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing),Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)- Undertake special projects asrequired. Effective customer management of rolling stock . Functionally manages the team of inspectors in Fitting shop & final dispatch cycle . Reporting of KPIs, defects, quality incidents. Rolling stock carbody & Fitted cars inspection and customer management . Rigorous control plan development for rolling stock inspection to acehive Zero customer complaints . Accepts or Reject products as defined in the work instructions and drawings. Accurately document NCR and results of the inspections andtesting Drive Right First Time culture to develop continuous improvementand preventive actions to increase the level of qualityperformance inthe Workshop (QRQC, Defect feedback loop, Pareto...). Deployment of the self-inspection and workstation audit plan withefficiency. Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timelyand accurate manner. Ensure the calibration of critical equipment and instrumentationused in the inspections. Ensure all the characteristics in Control Plan are deployed in themanufacturing processes. Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures andchecklists. Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possiblecorrective action. Reports to the Industrial Quality Managers the synthesis ofinspection results, including KPIs. Stop the production incase of adefect which justifies mandatory rework. Escalate the anomalies detected on the production lines & ensuretheir effective treatment (QRQC tool). Support manufacturing teams regarding the self-inspection. Ensure quality animation methodology, in line with APSYSrequirements. Qualification and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( Mechanical ) 8 to 12 years of experience . Rolling stock - metro experience preferred . Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control . Rolling stock experience preferred.
