Role : Network Administrator – L2/L3 level
Summary of the Role : Network administrator – L2 or L3.
Details of the Job :-
The position will be responsible for performing all functions required in day-to-day data network operations (LAN and WAN related), supporting and maintaining the data centre and connect network of plant locations, accountable for networking infrastructure component availability and integrity, coordinating investigation and reporting of network incidents. Participate in the planning, design, installation and maintenance of active and passive systems.
• Hands on experience in administration of firewalls.
• Experience in network design, architecture and network audit
• Create and review the monitoring reports on event anomalies.
• Preparing weekly dashboards on network security posture of the organization
• In-depth knowledge in WAN transport systems/services, Telecommunications systems/service, LAN/WAN/MPLS/SDWAN/SDN switch technology (including Spanning tree, VTP domain management), routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP4).
• Knowledge in DDOS, IPS, IDS, threat detection and treatment
• Preparing preventive and reactive measures in security; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Upgrades security systems; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.
• Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses.
• Email server administration and monitoring from security point of view
• Ensuring Company website domain security and monitoring
• Deliver technical and operational support for the Next Generation firewalls
• Assist in the implementation and operation of network security capabilities and security platforms, collaborating with
• In depth knowledge of all networking devices, setting up and monitoring FTP servers
• Proven ability to manage a multi-vendor WAN, multi-protocol routing, including but not limited to EIGRP, BPG4, OSPF and RIPv2.
• Assist in the creation of a comprehensive network security capability, capacity planning and optimizing the bandwidths
• Proactively maintain the network security infrastructure
• Managing the data centre operational outages and downtime
• Hands-on experience on Multi-vendor hardware like HP, Checkpoint, Radware, Proxy & AV
Desired Skills for the Role
Global CISCO Certification – CCNA, CCNP
Firewall like CheckPoint certification or good level of training
Network administration certification like CCNA, Aruba
Any certification or good level of training in network security
Good knowledge of Windows Server(preferably 2019 onwards)
ITIL certified
Learning attitude
Education Requirements : Graduate / B.E. IT / MCS / MCA
Desired experience : Min. 8 years experience
