National Recovery Head - Field

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Field Recovery Head to lead and manage secured and unsecured loan collections & recovery operations. This role requires a strong leader with deep experience in field collections, legal recovery processes, and team management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving recovery efficiency, reducing delinquencies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recovery Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and implement collection & recovery strategies for secured and unsecured loan portfolios.
• Drive early-stage and late-stage collections through field teams and agencies.
• Optimize recovery processes, ensuring efficient cash flow and minimal NPAs.
• Monitor bucket-wise delinquency trends and take proactive measures to control bad debts.

2. Team & Agency Management:

• Lead and manage a large team of field collection officers and regional recovery managers.
• Appoint and manage third-party collection agencies, legal firms, and repossession agents.
• Train and mentor collection teams to improve efficiency, negotiation skills, and legal compliance.

3. Customer Engagement & Negotiation:

• Directly engage with high-value defaulters and strategize recovery plans.
• Ensure field teams are effectively negotiating settlements, restructuring loans, and handling escalations.
• Drive customer-centric recovery approaches to maintain brand reputation while ensuring compliance.

4. Legal & Compliance Management:

• Collaborate with the legal team to initiate SARFAESI, arbitration, and litigation for secured and high-ticket unsecured loans.
• Ensure adherence to RBI, NBFC, and legal guidelines for collections and recovery.
• Oversee repossession, auctioning, and settlement processes for secured loans.
• Mitigate fraud risk and ensure proper documentation of all recovery activities.

5. Performance Tracking & Reporting:

• Track collection efficiency, recovery success rates, and agency performance.
• Prepare and present MIS reports on bucket-wise delinquencies, settlements, and recovery progress.
• Implement tech-driven monitoring solutions to enhance recovery efficiency.

Attributes we are looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in field collections & recovery (preferably in fintech, NBFCs, or banking).
• Strong understanding of secured & unsecured loan recovery processes, and legal frameworks.
• Proven track record of handling high-ticket recoveries, settlements, and legal actions.
• Experience in managing large field teams and external collection agencies.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field recovery operations.
