Job Description

The Microsoft Project Operations Business Process Specialist is responsible for optimizing, implementing, and supporting business processes within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations environment. This specialist acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that project management, resource allocation, financial tracking, and operational workflows are streamlined and aligned with organizational goals. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, specifically Project Operations or similar modules Proven experience in business process analysis, process improvement, and project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Lean, Six Sigma preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams integration Experience in documenting business processes, requirements, use cases, and test scenarios Preferred Skills Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related project management/process improvement disciplines (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Universal Resource Scheduling Background in supporting cross-functional teams and leading change initiatives in complex environments Key Competencies Business acumen with knowledge of IT Consulting and ability to help the business think through and articulate requirements, and then translate those requirements into technical solutions Strong facilitation, negotiation, and documentation skills Adaptability to evolving technology landscapes and business needs Roles and Responsibilities . Work with the Business Analyst to analyze, design, and document business processes related to project management, resource scheduling, project accounting, time tracking, subcontracting, and material usage within Dynamics 365 Project Operations. Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend best practices and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Support the implementation of process improvements, change management initiatives, and system enhancements to drive operational excellence Provide technical support and training to end-users, develop training materials, and ensure adoption of new processes and tools Facilitate risk identification and management sessions, maintain risk registers, and ensure quality assurance in process execution Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of solutions and alignment with business objectives Stay updated on new features and trends in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations and related technologies, recommending enhancements to improve business outcomes
