Role Description

Mechanical MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive mechanical designs for MEP systems using AutoCAD MEP and related tools.
• Coordinate mechanical services with architectural and structural designs, ensuring clash‑free, integrated layouts aligned with UK project standards.
• Oversee the preparation of construction documentation and detailed mechanical layouts.
• Liaise closely with design engineers to accurately incorporate design changes and revisions.
• Ensure mechanical design outputs meet client standards, UK regulations, and internal quality workflows.
• Maintain meticulous version control, file naming standards, and data accuracy.
• Support and contribute to project coordination meetings, supplying updates and visual design feedback.
• Drive improvements in mechanical design processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with evolving UK industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.

• Minimum 15 years of experience

  working as a Mechanical Engineer within MEP consulting or contracting, specifically on

  UK projects

• Deep knowledge of UK mechanical design standards, codes, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and complementary CAD tools.
• Strong grasp of mechanical services coordination and construction detailing.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to excel under demanding timelines.
• Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
