Role Description

CAD MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 2D CAD drawings for MEP systems using AutoCAD and other relevant tools.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural designs to ensure clash-free layouts.
• Generate construction documentation and detailed layouts from CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate design changes accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure CAD drawings comply with client standards, project requirements, and company workflows.
• Maintain proper version control, file naming standards, and data accuracy.
• Support project coordination meetings and provide updates and visuals as needed.
• Continuously improve CAD processes and workflows in alignment with evolving industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5+ years of experience working as a CAD Engineer or Draftsman in MEP consulting or contracting firms.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of MEP services and construction coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communicator and a collaborative team player.
• Knowledge of UK CAD standards and practices is an advantage.
