The Design Engineer is capable of carrying out the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co-ordination with other disciplines viz., Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical Design Engineers shall work with a team of draftsman to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering Key Responsibilities: • Timely review of the drawings developed by the draftsman • Detail design of Civil and Structural components of Solar Plants such as Module mounting Steel Structures, Buildings, Road, Drain, Fence / Compound Wall, Grading and levelling cable Trenches • Preparation and review of Pre-bid queries, DBR, BOQ & Scope of work for Proposal Engineering & Project Engineering. • Propose optimization Ideas during Pre-bid stage and also during project stage to reduce the Project Cost • Ensure compliance to specification requirements • Review of drawings and Documentation conforming to Quality systems and Check List • Review of Vendor Offers and Documents • Pre-Tender Engineering including estimation of BOM (Bill of Materials) and Offer Reviews Technical Expertise: Design Engineer shall be capable of executing the engineering activities for civil & structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to the Solar Power Plant.
