Media Analyst
with at least 4 years of experience to join our media intelligence team. This role is essential in helping our clients stay informed and make strategic decisions based on timely and relevant media insights. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing a wide spectrum of media content—across print, broadcast, and social platforms—while curating customized media summaries and reports.As a Media Analyst, you will work across multiple industries and clients, transforming media data into meaningful analysis and actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities:
- Media Monitoring:
- Track and monitor news coverage from traditional (print, TV, radio) and digital sources (social media platforms, online news).
- Use media intelligence platforms and tools to identify relevant articles and mentions for client brands and topics.
- Stay updated with media trends and emerging platforms that influence client industries.
- Content Analysis:
- Evaluate and summarize media content with a focus on tonality, sentiment, accuracy, and relevance.
- Identify emerging themes, public perception, and communication gaps from media narratives.
- Analyze the impact and reach of campaigns, product launches, or reputational issues.
- Newsletter Curation:
- Curate and deliver daily or weekly newsletters tailored to client-specific requirements and objectives.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and timeliness of curated content summaries.
- Organize content to highlight key headlines, themes, and action points.
- Social Media Analysis:
- Monitor brand mentions, trending topics, and influencer engagement across platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
- Evaluate sentiment and audience reaction to campaigns and key messaging.
- Prepare social listening insights to support brand positioning or crisis management efforts.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Create insightful and concise reports that present media findings with clear visualizations and summaries.
- Draft client-ready documents that reflect media coverage trends and strategic recommendations.
- Act as a point of contact for assigned clients, managing deliverables, feedback, and expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in media monitoring, PR, communications, or content analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using media monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Talkwalker) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret data with clarity and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client projects.
- Interest in news, current affairs, digital trends, and the media landscape.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, or related fields.
- Previous experience working in a PR agency, news organization, or media intelligence firm.
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools
