Job Purpose:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of all mechanical equipment and systems at Raavi Green Fuels' Ethanol Plant in Bundi. The role involves supporting continuous plant operations, minimizing equipment downtime, and enhancing mechanical system performance, while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, heat exchangers, conveyors, and piping systems.
• Monitor mechanical system performance and address breakdowns or failures promptly to minimize downtime.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure high equipment availability.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, instrumentation, and utility teams for smooth plant operations.
• Supervise contractors and maintenance teams during repair, installation, or shutdown activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements related to mechanical systems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and downtime analysis.
• Participate in root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
• Assist in spare parts management, technical procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Provide technical support during plant commissioning, modifications, and project execution activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience:

  3 to 8 years of relevant experience in maintenance or project execution in an ethanol plant, distillery, chemical plant, or similar process industry.
• Freshers with strong technical aptitude may be considered for trainee positions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

✔ Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.

✔ Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

✔ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.

✔ Good understanding of safety procedures and statutory compliances.

✔ Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

✔ Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.

✔ Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography) is desirable.

Preferred Experience:

• Maintenance of centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, utility equipment, and piping systems.
• Exposure to maintenance of ethanol plant equipment and distillation systems.
• Familiarity with utilities like boilers, cooling towers, and air compressors.
• Experience in plant commissioning activities will be an added advantage.
