Roles and Responsibilities

·      Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical components, assemblies, and fabrication parts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

·      Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce detailed drawings.

·      Ensure all designs comply with technical standards, tolerances, and safety requirements.

·      Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients.

·      Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and design data.

·      Assist in bill of materials (BOM) preparation and documentation.

·      Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and quality control to resolve drawing-related issues.

·      Keep up to date with CAD software updates and drafting best practices.

Requirements for a successful candidate

·      Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

·      2–3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in a manufacturing or engineering environment (freshers can be considered for junior roles).

·      Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks tools.

·      Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

·      Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.).

·      Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

·      Good communication and teamwork skills.
