Roles and Responsibilities · Design electrical control panels (MCC, PCC, PLC panels, distribution panels). · Create wiring diagrams, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and layout plans using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). · Select appropriate components such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, terminal blocks, and PLCs based on load calculations and application. · Perform load calculations and short-circuit current ratings (SCCR). · Ensure proper sizing of cables, busbars, breakers, and other panel components. · Consider voltage drop, thermal ratings, and fault levels in design. · Work with panel fabrication and assembly teams to ensure accurate implementation of design. · Supervise wiring, mounting, and layout of components inside the panel. · Conduct in-process inspections during fabrication. · Provide technical support during on-site installation and commissioning of panels. · Ensure proper cable terminations, grounding, and protective device settings. · Deliver as-built drawings, test reports, manuals, and compliance certificates. · Maintain records for future maintenance and audits.
