Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM models to determine machining requirements.
  • Solid Works 3D Modelling.
  • Design and developing Fixture machining.
  • Select and set up appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for efficient production.
  • Conduct test runs and first-article inspections to validate CNC programs and ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot programming issues, machine errors, and tooling challenges.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Production teams to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain documentation related to CNC programming, tooling setups, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.).
  • Train and mentor machine operators on CNC program execution and machine operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
  • Experience: 5-6 years of experience in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in Solid works CAM and modelling software
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operation.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines, lathes, and Horizontal and vertical milling centers.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and precision measurement tools.
  • Understanding of materials (metals, composites, plastics) and their machining characteristics.
  • Hands-on experience with tool selection, cutting parameters, and process optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight tolerances and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting.
