Must-Have Minimum of 3 years' developer experience, preferably in the finance sector. Experience and provable knowledge in Market Data Technology, in particular relating to products from LSEG, Bloomberg and Factset. Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems. Thorough understanding of network routing and network topology firewalls etc.. 3 years experience in software release mechanisms, preferably Gitlab and SDLC. 1-2 years experience working with Azure Cloud services. Market Data desktop application expertise. Including usage, installation, configuration data flows and fault finding (Bloomberg, LSEG Eikon, Workspace, Factset etc.). Onboarding of applications into UBS Desktop environment. Liaising with deployment teams, QA, desktop support and business end users as part of testing and deployment. Third level escalation of desktop issues. Resolving incidents and problems, owning and reporting on these issues through formal channels. Application programming for market data systems (LSEG real-time SDK, Bloomberg) both latest APIs and legacy systems. Expert understanding of protocols, syntax and messaging technologies. Expert Data content diagnostics skills General programming expertise across different programming languages (e.g. Java, C, C#, Python) as well as different operating systems, SDKs IDEs etc.. Inhouse application development and ownership, developing tools for MDT support and diagnostics as well as documentation and SAD (Solution Architecture Document). Working with Application teams to provide advisory and guidance for new application development, as well as issue investigation and escalation.
