Manager/Associate Director - FS Consulting (Risk)

• Lead or contribute to risk consulting and transformation projects in Banks/FIs
  • Analyze business processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including identifying operational, financial, regulatory, and technology risks
  • Develop risk management frameworks, perform scenario-based analysis, and advise on mitigation strategies. Also includes risk control self-assessments (RCSA), process reviews, controls testing, etc.
  • Develop risk reporting templates/processes and monitoring related processes
  • Build comprehensive risk management policies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry trends, regulatory requirements (e.g., RBI, SEBI), and emerging risk areas such as cybersecurity and third-party risks
• Engage directly with client senior management, executives, and stakeholders to understand business needs, present findings, and articulate recommendations. Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior team members and manage the work of staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with internal standards

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of risk management principles of Banks/FIs
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools, data analytics (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python for modeling)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to independently manage projects, and coordinate with different teams
• Guide and mentor junior team members through on-the-job coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing
• Willingness to travel and work at client locations on a need basis
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3-5 years in risk management, internal audit, financial audit, consulting, or related areas, preferably in a Big 4 firm, global banks. Prior exposure to Big 4 or direct risk consulting roles is a strong advantage
