Manager – Trade & Investment Promotion

T&A Consulting is hiring a Manager to drive strategic initiatives that promote international markets as preferred investment destinations for Indian corporates. This role blends the analytical rigor of M&A and Corporate Strategy with the understanding of investment promotion.

You will work closely with international economic development agencies, and trade bodies to engage with Indian corporates and high-growth enterprises, facilitating their cross-border expansion through outbound foreign direct investment (FDI).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver

  FDI, trade, and market entry consulting projects

  for international clients, including economic development agencies and trade promotion bodies.
• Conduct

  market research, policy analysis, opportunity assessment, location analysis

  , and sector deep dives.
• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with

  Indian corporates, exporters, and investors

  interested in expanding internationally.
• Support

  inward and outward investment promotion

  , including site selection, investor targeting, and partner identification.
• Plan, organise, and execute

  trade missions, B2B events, delegations, and industry seminars

  .
• Prepare

  proposals, sector reports, and business development pitches

  .
• Manage key client accounts, ensure

  timely project delivery

  , and provide aftercare services.
• Coordinate with internal teams for

  database building, lead generation, and CRM updates

  (Salesforce).
• Mentor and manage junior team members, ensuring knowledge sharing and high-quality output.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 4-5 years’ experience in

  FDI promotion, trade facilitation, economic development, or market entry consulting

  .
• Experience working with

  investment promotion, economic development agencies, or business advisory firms

  is preferred.
• Strong understanding of

  India’s business landscape

  , investment climate, and key industry sectors.
• Excellent

  research, analytical, and report-writing

  skills.
• Proven track record in

  client servicing, stakeholder management, and business development

  .
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with

  MS Office

  ; experience with CRM tools like

  Salesforce

  is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills — both

  written and verbal

  — with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
