Education Counsellor/ Conversion Specialist – UK University About the Role We are looking for an experienced, overseas Education Counsellor/Conversion Specialist who is meticulous in his/her approach and is well connected within the Education network of India. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging with prospective students, providing guidance, and effectively facilitating their journey from inquiry to enrollment. Job Description The role of the Education counsellor is: To understand career requirements of the students and counsel them and parents (if required) to offer subject matter expertise for specific courses of the university. Conduct detailed profile assessment of the students, recruit unconditionally, and guide them to the suitable course. Counsel students and generate leads related to the courses offered by the university. Respond to inquiries from students, parents and agents regarding international student programs offered by subject university. Assist students in admission application and visa formalities. Participate in education fairs, represent the university, telephonic follow-ups, and closure of prospects. Work with the Education team to develop annual marketing plan and establish yearly travel proposal. Establish travel itineraries and complete necessary travel documents. Work directly with the Admissions Specialist to help problem solve admission issues. EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in overseas education counselling/recruitment. Experience of working with overseas education agency is a must. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience of recruiting and counselling students for UK market. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong networking and counselling skills Ability to remember course information, scholarships, accommodation and other relevant information required to execute this role swiftly. Sound knowledge of higher education system and student visas for UK. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, colleagues and team representing diverse ethnic and cultural background.
