Position Summary:

Manager Tender (Coal Logistics)

This role is critical to business acquisition and requires a deep understanding of logistics operations, coal supply chain, cost structures, and government/private bidding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tender Identification:

  Proactively track and identify relevant tenders related to

  coal logistics, transportation, and handling

  from government and private sector job sites (e.g., CPPP, GeM, PSU portals, etc.).

• Documentation & Compliance:

  Prepare and compile

  pre-bid documents

  , including technical proposals, eligibility documents, certifications, and commercial annexures.

• Cost Estimation & Pricing:

  Prepare detailed

  costing sheets

  , taking into account freight rates, handling charges, route optimization, fuel costs, taxes, and other relevant components.

• Cross-functional Coordination:

  Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, legal, technical) to gather necessary inputs for tender submissions.

• Vendor & Partner Liaison:

  Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and logistics partners to collect rates and technical data when required for consortium or joint bids.

• Tender Submission & Follow-up:

  Ensure timely submission of complete and compliant bids. Track bid outcomes and manage follow-ups for clarifications or negotiations.

• Market Intelligence:

  Keep abreast of developments in the coal logistics sector, upcoming tenders, industry pricing trends, and competitor activity.

• Database Management:

  Maintain a comprehensive database of submitted bids, win/loss analysis, and pricing benchmarks for continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum

  8+ years of experience

  in

  tender management for coal logistics or related sectors

  .
• In-depth knowledge of coal transportation value chain including rake movement, road transport, port handling, and dispatch.
• Strong understanding of tendering portals and government bidding norms.
• Excellent analytical skills for

  cost modeling and bid competitiveness analysis

  .
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and online tendering platforms.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
