As a Manager, you will play a central role in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects that address some of the most pressing development challenges. You will be responsible for managing client engagements end-to-end, shaping project strategies, ensuring delivery excellence, and strengthening institutional partnerships.The role requires a combination of strategic problem-solving, sector expertise, team leadership, and relationship management, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive systemic impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple consulting projects or workstreams, defining scope, methodology, and outputs while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Shape research frameworks and analytical approaches, translating data and insights into practical recommendations for clients and partners.
- Ensure high-quality project delivery by supervising teams, reviewing outputs, and providing guidance at key milestones.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to philanthropic foundations, non-profits, multilaterals, government partners, and corporate CSR teams.
- Lead client interactions, including scoping discussions, presentations, and proposal development.
- Build, deepen, and manage long-term client and funder relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, writing proposals, and shaping multi-million-dollar project pipelines.
- Support practice-wide initiatives such as knowledge-building, research publications, and thought leadership in areas such as inclusive development, water and sanitation, health, education, and livelihoods.
- Represent the firm at external convenings, panels, and sector forums to strengthen visibility and thought leadership.
- Manage, mentor, and develop project teams, providing feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.
- Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture that emphasizes excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Contribute to firm-level initiatives such as staffing, training, and internal knowledge-sharing platforms.
Candidate Requirement
- 10 years of professional experience in the development sector, management consulting, or advisory, with a strong track record in research, strategy, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated success in independently managing projects or divisions with accountability for outcomes, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of building clear narratives, delivering compelling presentations, and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Proven ability to build and manage long-term relationships with clients, funders, and ecosystem partners.
- Strong people leadership skills, including prior experience in managing and developing teams.
