About the Role:

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performing systems that power enterprise backend platforms for finance, credit, collections, and document management. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will partner with product, architecture, and platform teams to deliver enterprise-scale systems aligned with data, AI, and security goals. Your leadership will shape culture, architecture, and team success.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and grow a team of 10–14 backend engineers and site reliability engineers
• Define team goals, ensure performance, and provide mentorship and career guidance
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, inclusion, and engineering excellence
• Partner with global product and architecture teams to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions
• Drive delivery of secure, cloud-native backend services with high availability and performance
• Make technical and architectural decisions that align with enterprise strategy
• Promote Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices across teams
• Own project execution, delivery schedules, and communication across stakeholders
• Manage dependencies, risks, and ensure proactive resolution of blockers
• Collaborate across engineering, platform, SRE, and compliance teams to align delivery with business and operational goals

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 4-7 years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong experience managing global, cross-functional teams and agile delivery pipelines
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise platforms in production environments
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also relevant)
• Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Hands-on familiarity with technologies like Java, Python, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQL, NoSQL, Terraform, Splunk, Grafana
• Experience with financial systems, credit platforms, or document workflow applications
• Knowledge of SOX, compliance requirements, and secure system architecture
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience designing high-resilience, observable, and audit-compliant systems
• Exposure to AI/ML system integration is a strong plus
