Job Description Key Responsibilities – Clutch System Design Engineer Designing Clutch Systems Responsible for designing clutches that are reliable, durable, and efficient, ensuring they can handle high torque and stress in heavy-duty machinery. CAD Modeling and Prototyping Utilize CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) to create detailed 3D models of clutch components and assemblies. Material Selection Select materials capable of withstanding harsh conditions and heavy loads, such as high-strength steels or advanced composites for friction plates and other components. Testing and Validation Conduct load testing, wear testing, and reliability testing to validate clutch performance. Collaboration with Manufacturing Teams Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable. Problem-Solving Identify and resolve issues in existing clutch designs or production processes to improve performance and efficiency. Compliance with Standards Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards and regulations concerning safety, performance, and environmental impact. Other Details Skills Needed Mechanical Engineering Understanding the principles of mechanical design, material science, and thermodynamics. Problem-Solving Ability to identify issues and quickly find innovative solutions. CAD Software Proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation software. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes Familiarity with casting, forging, machining, and other processes relevant to clutch production.
