Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager QA/QC (Electrical) to oversee and ensure the quality of electrical works in our utility-scale solar power plant construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality standards, inspections, coordinating with contractors and as well with reporting Managers, Documentation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management & Leadership

• Implement, and manage the overall QA/QC plan and procedures for Mechanical, Civil and Electrical works developed by the Quality Head.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians across the projects
• Promote a culture of quality and compliance within the project team and contractors.

Civil & Electrical Quality Oversight

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, relevant standards
• Implementation of quality documents, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), checklists, and test reports for civil and electrical works.
• Conduct regular site training ie., First off training, OJTs, Classroom training, inspections and regular monitoring of field activities ie., foundations, structures, module mounting, cabling, switchyards, substations, and balance of plant (BOP) etc.,
• Verify material certifications, test reports, and ensure traceability of all civil and electrical components.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor and track all non-conformances (NCs), observations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare periodic quality performance reports and present to senior management.
• Ensure timely discussions with project heads for closure of all site-related quality issues asper the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).

Key Competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge in solar construction activities.
• Ability to suggest technical recommendations on closure of NCs & Observations independently.
• Good coordination skills with EPC contractors and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to quality.

Requirements:

• BE/B Tech. in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• 10-15 years of experience, with at least 7 years in QA/QC Electrical for solar/power projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV plant electrical systems & relevant codes (IS, IEC).
• Familiarity with inspection methodologies, and NABL testing.
• Excellent communication & documentation skills.
• Require good knowledge on MS-Office for Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting.
