Position Title: Manager-Sales Reporting to: Sr. Manager Functions to be supervised directly: Sales Job Location: Chennai Summary of work Environment and Work performed: Specific Duties: Desired Outcome: It s a Sales Manager position which is to be performed from a office / non-office (Remote) location, Chennai. He should be handling a Sales Activities for UPS BU in the specific territory which is defined as the state of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Sri City region (neighboring Chennai) Identifying target accounts (customers) in the respective sales territory, mapping the client organization for buyers, influencers, decision makers, technical staff etc. Leading the customer acceptance process. Generate enquiry by customer visits Follow-up with customer and securing the enquiry, Verifying & confirming the acceptability of the enquiry in accordance with TMEIC products & solutions, export control regulations, compliance requirements, business policies etc. Registering the opportunity in CRM & updating the status regularly Risk assessment & abatement strategies for specific enquiry, customer, project etc. Submitting the offer, techno-commercial clarification & negotiation with customers Collecting the order Preparation of check-list, Project work-book, costing/pricing summary, securing necessary approvals from BU Manager, Legal, Finance, MD as required Handover the order for execution to project team Sales Hands-off Customer relations management Meeting TMIND business target assigned to the SM Management reporting o Enquiry pipeline o Order forecasts Short term/long term business o Hit rate (success rate) analysis, Lost order analysis, strategies for improvement etc. o Market intelligence, information of competition Desired Outcome: Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Education- Minimum Diploma Engineer Electrical Engineering Essential: -Bachelor s degree with 5- 10 years relevant work experience. Desired: - Preferably bachelor s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering. Knowledge- Product knowledge, Battery Sizing calculation, Use CRM to track customer related activities, communication & market data. Skills and abilities: Experience: 1. To retain existing accounts and develop new accounts in the region. 2. Acquire competitive accounts 3. Build sales pipeline by generating leads 4. To meet sales target. 1. Excellent verbal, presentation, written communication and inter-personal skills. 2. Positive Attitude, Self-starter, Willingness to learn and grow. 3. Knowledge of Sales Techniques, Key Account Management, Value Selling and best practices. 4. Develop, Plan and execute strategies to extract new business opportunities. 5. Effective negotiation skills. 6. Should be ready to travel extensively. 7. Conversant with Local Language 8. He should be self-motivated 8-10 year s work experience in UPS industry preferably in Tamil Nadu Region with proficiency in local language (Tamil) + English.
