The team generates high quality, data-driven analysis and thought leadership that helps philanthropy, policy, and strategy in the development sector. By combining robust research methodologies with on ground perspectives, we capture macro trends, codify best practices, and develop tools to support funders, nonprofits, and ecosystem stakeholders.Our work covers thematic studies, strategic advisory, and knowledge dissemination helping funders allocate resources effectively and scale their impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis: Lead rigorous research projects on philanthropy, development strategy, and social impact; analyze data to generate actionable insights.
- Thought Leadership: Develop and publish research reports, insights papers, and sectoral analyses to influence ecosystem conversations.
- Team & Project Management: Supervise and mentor a team of researchers; ensure delivery of high-quality outputs; nurture a culture of continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage multi-stakeholder projects and foster collaboration with nonprofits, foundations, and consulting partners.
- Convenings & Facilitation: Conceptualize and facilitate dialogues, roundtables, and ecosystem events to promote evidence-based decision making.
- Proposal Development & Fundraising Support: Contribute to proposals and help manage relationships with partners and funders.
Candidate Profile
- Educational Background: Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related disciplines (Public Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration).
- Professional Experience: 8 - 12 years in management consulting, strategy, development consulting, foundation, or nonprofit organizations with significant exposure to research, data analysis, and evidence-based strategy.
- Data & Research Expertise: Strong capability in data analysis, objective evidence management, and use of tools for quantitative/qualitative insights.
- Team Leadership: Experience managing and mentoring research or consulting teams (4–6 members).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex ideas and present them clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders in foundations, nonprofits, and consulting organizations.
- Narrative & Dissemination: Ability to translate research into compelling narratives, reports, and knowledge products.
