The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for overseeing overall hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical services, addressing patient and staff concerns, and maintaining hospital policies, safety, and service quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Monitor day-to-day hospital operations during the shift
• Coordinate with nursing, medical, housekeeping, security, pharmacy, and support services
• Ensure adequate staffing and smooth shift handovers

Patient Care & Service Excellence

• Address patient and attendant complaints promptly and professionally
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and service quality
• Support emergency and critical situations with quick decision-making

Staff Coordination

• Act as point of contact for staff issues during the shift
• Ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to hospital protocols
• Escalate critical issues to senior management when required

Emergency & Incident Management

• Handle emergencies, code situations, and medico-legal cases (MLC)
• Ensure proper documentation and incident reporting
• Coordinate with security and local authorities if needed

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI guidelines, and statutory requirements
• Monitor infection control, safety, and risk management practices

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain shift reports, incident logs, and handover notes
• Report operational issues, patient feedback, and action taken

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
• Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of hospital operations and clinical workflows
• Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts

Qualifications & Experience

• BHA/MHA/MBA/MSW
• 2–5 years of experience in hospital operations or administration
• MOD or supervisory experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
