Job Description

Role Purpose:

Role & responsibilities

  • Legal Advisory & Support:

    Provide sound legal advice and guidance to management and various business teams on real estate, regulatory, and corporate matters.
  • Documentation:

    Draft, review, and vet a range of legal documents including sale deeds, lease deeds, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and other contracts to safeguard the organisations interests.
  • Contract Vetting:

    Review and validate Booking Applications, BBAs, addendums, registry documents, all regular letters and transfer agreements. Ensure compliance with RERA, Stamp Act, and local laws.
  • Litigation Management:

    Liaise with external counsel for ongoing or potential litigation, provide necessary documentation, inputs, timely support and track progress of cases to ensure effective Litigation Management.
  • Registry Support:

    Prepare executable documents, customer registry files in coordination with Registry Coordinator. Liaise with CRM to prepare Deeds.
  • Compliance & Governance:

    Ensure adherence to applicable real estate laws, RERA guidelines, and other statutory regulations. Assist in maintaining compliance records and regulatory filings.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential legal risks in business transactions and propose corrective actions or preventive strategies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:

    Collaborate with internal teams Sales, CRM, Projects, Finance, and HR to align business operations with legal requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Dispute Handling:

    Support CRM/Finance in legal case management and communication control (delays, cheque bounce, customer disputes). Draft soft legally vetted emails/letters when required.
  • Leadership Support:

    Work closely with senior management on strategic initiatives, negotiations, and policy formulation from a legal standpoint.

Any other support required by the Senior Management from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

Essential: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from reputed college/ institution.

Desirable: Masters Degree in Law (LL.M.), Company Secretary, Specialization in real estate law preferred or Diploma.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of PQE – Practice with Various Courts in the areas of Real Estate Laws or Reputed Law Firm practicing of Real Estate Laws.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, RERA, and corporate legal processes.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts independently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
