Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Statutory Approvals

• Ensure timely renewal and compliance of all statutory licenses, permits, and approvals related to the manufacturing unit.
  
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary clearances and maintain updated documentation.
  

2. Land Issues

• Manage and resolve land-related matters including title verification, demarcation, and encumbrance clearance.
  
• Liaise with government authorities and legal consultants for land acquisition and mutation processes.
  

3. Contract Management

• Draft, review, and vet commercial and operational contracts, MoUs, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
  
• Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements in all contractual dealings.
  

4. Litigation Management

• Handle litigation cases pertaining to the unitlabour, civil, criminal, and regulatory.
  
• Coordinate with external counsels, prepare case briefs, and ensure timely representation in courts and tribunals.
  

5. Liaisoning and Coordination

• Liaise with local authorities, legal firms, and internal departments for legal and compliance matters.
  
• Support management with legal opinions and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
  
• 8 - 12 years of experience in handling plant-level legal and compliance matters, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
