Role Description

Manager – Hospital Administration & Technical Services

The role involves comprehensive management of hospital operations, technical services, facility maintenance, and administrative workflow. The Manager will ensure smooth functioning of the hospital by coordinating teams, managing resources, maintaining technical infrastructure, and ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance.

The candidate will work closely with hospital leadership to improve operational efficiency, monitor service delivery, support staff, implement safety protocols, and maintain a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Hospital Administration

  • Manage daily operations of OPD, IPD, Billing, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security.
  • Ensure smooth patient flow, appointment coordination, and overall service quality.
  • Handle patient concerns, grievances and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Monitor cleanliness, discipline, and standard operating procedures across departments.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and support staff for uninterrupted hospital services.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, MIS entries, and administrative compliance.

Technical & Facility Management

  • Supervise maintenance of biomedical machines, diagnostic equipment, and hospital assets.
  • Oversee electrical systems, water supply, plumbing, HVAC, oxygen/air supply, and DG set operations.
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance, timely breakdown repairs, and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain safety standards, fire safety compliance, and equipment health records.
  • Monitor vendors, AMC contracts, service providers, and procurement activities.

Operational & Compliance

  • Support budgeting, inventory control, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and assist in NABH readiness (if applicable).
  • Implement hospital policies, standards, and operational improvement strategies.
  • Supervise staff schedules, performance, training, and disciplinary requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in hospital operations or technical services.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital workflows, and facility management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to lead, multitask, and handle operational challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and problem-solving.
