Manager – Civil & Structural Engineering

Qualifications:

- BE / B.Tech / M.Tech Civil Engineering from a reputed Engineering College

- Min. 12-15 years of experience in both Civil & Structural Engineering

- Proven track record of managing small to mid-scale engineering projects

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Good understanding of construction methods and safety practices

- A candidate with industrial site construction exposure is preferred

- Well-versed with civil & structural engineering design with IS codes & standard specifications

- Ability to perform designs with STAAD Pro, F3D/MAT3D & draft engineering drawings with AutoCAD2D

- A candidate based in Pune is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide essential civil structural inputs to the Piping & Layouts team for plot plan preparation

- Prepare detailed quantity & cost estimates for preparing proposals for new projects

- Prepare detailed RFQs for outsourcing civil & structural engineering work

- Prepare Design Basis for Civil & Structural Engineering projects

- Prepare standard documents for the Civil & Structural Engineering discipline

- Ensure correctness, quality, optimisation & timely delivery of outsourced engineering for in-time construction

- Ensure compliance with codal & safety standards and government regulations

- May be required to occasionally travel to sites for inspection & guidance to the construction team/vendor establishments

- Coordinate with stakeholders, engineering & construction contractors, as well as with government agencies

- Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions

- Ensure the quality control and assurance of good engineering practices

- Inter-disciplinary coordination

- Review and approve engineering designs and plans

Desired Skills:

- Experience in Industrial, Oil & Gas projects

- Experience in the design of concrete substation buildings, industrial sheds, pipe racks, platforms, supporting structures to vendor items, equipment/vessel foundations, etc.

- Knowledge of overall plant drainage requirements, planning & design

- Experience in land development & able to make decisions on land development cost optimisation

- Experience in geotechnical investigation & topographic survey reports review

- On-site experience with construction activities and project execution

- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Technically creative and open-minded

- Must be able to perform reviews of drawings received from other disciplines. Should have the ability to interface with other engineering disciplines

- Experience in reading equipment layouts, piping GA drawings & isometric drawings

- Knowledge of design and detailing practices/norms followed in high seismic zones pertaining to steel and concrete structures

- Knowledge of dynamic analysis using response spectrum and time history analysis methods
