Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead sales initiatives and business growth in the construction sector. The BDM will oversee a team of BDEs, develop strategic client relationships, and drive large-scale project acquisitions for residential, commercial, and infrastructure construction services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new construction projects and clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and corporate clients.
  • Identify high-value opportunities and prepare detailed proposals, cost estimates, and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and ensure profitable deals.
  • Monitor the performance of the BDE team, track KPIs, and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and finance teams to ensure smooth project onboarding.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular sales and revenue reports to senior management.
  • Ensure the achievement of revenue targets and business growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in business development/sales in the construction sector.
  • Proven track record of managing a sales team and closing high-value construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction services, project execution, and client requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and project proposal software.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and strategic thinking ability.
