Manager Accounting

Role Overview: As the Manager Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's day-to-day accounting operations in Bhubaneswar. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. You are expected to possess strong technical accounting expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial processes. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate processing of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. - Maintain and review the chart of accounts to ensure proper classification and compliance. - Manage timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts. - Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and company standards. - Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including tax filings, GST, TDS, and regulatory submissions. - Implement, monitor, and strengthen internal financial controls. - Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. - Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and audit. - Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff to ensure high-quality output. - Prepare periodic management reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Professional certification such as CMA/CA/CPA is preferred. - 5-7 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit. - Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial systems. - Hands-on experience with general ledger management, financial closing, and statement preparation. - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
