Management Accountant (12 Month Contract)

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, covering for a colleague seconded to a Microsoft D365 implementation project. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting business decision-making during a period of transformation. Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and KPI reports
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CMA ..)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modeling
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
